Meet us

Every year, from August to February, we hold a wide range of events to help you learn as much as possible about a career in law. We work with both our own teams and external partners to offer you the chance to ask questions, meet our lawyers and current trainees, and help you plan your next steps.

You could join one of our Q&A sessions with the Early Careers Recruitment team to discover more about the variety of opportunities we offer and to ask any questions you might have about our application process or life at A&O Shearman. You can usually find us at the Legal Cheek Virtual Law Fair and the Bright Network FESTIVAL, among many other events we attend in collaboration with our partners.

Are you a current year 12 or 13 student interested in commercial law? Join us at A&O Shearman for a day designed to give you real insight into life at our firm.

During the Open Day, you will:

  • Hear from our recruitment team about the opportunities available at A&O Shearman
  • Meet our lawyers, trainees and apprentices, who will share their experiences and answer your questions
  • Take part in an interactive legal challenge to get a taste of the work we do
  • Network with fellow attendees and members of the firm

We will happily cover reasonable travel expenses. Please keep your travel receipts, and our Early Careers team will be in touch with instructions on how to claim.

If you're exploring your options, this Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about a career in law at A&O Shearman. To attend, you must apply for a place on the Open Day. The deadline to apply is 3 July at 1pm. We will review applications on a rolling basis and communicate outcomes within one week of submission.
